Privacy Policy — Dealer App

Effective: 2026-06-01 · Last updated: 2026-05-26

What this policy covers

This policy explains what National Truck Parts ("NTP", "we", "our") — the publisher of the National Truck Parts: Dealer App — collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to the iPhone and Android app only.

Use of nationaltruckparts.com (the website) is governed by the privacy policy on the main site.

Who we are

National Truck Parts LLC, Weatherford, Texas. Reach us at dealers@nationaltruckparts.com for any privacy question or request.

What we collect, and why

Account information

We collect what you give us when you sign in:

Why: to authenticate you, to apply your dealer pricing, to process orders, and to ship parts to the right place.

Order and purchase history

When you place an order through the app, we keep a record of:

Why: to fulfill your order, to power the Reorder feature, to provide order history and invoice download.

Payment information

When you add a payment method, the card number is sent directly to Braintree (a PayPal company, our payment processor). We never see, store, or transmit the raw card number on our servers. Braintree returns a token to us that we use to process future charges with your permission.

Why: PCI compliance — keeping card data away from us is safer for you.

Device and usage data

The app sends us:

Why: to find and fix bugs faster, to understand which features dealers actually use, to send you order updates and dealer-only deals via push if you opted in.

Biometric authentication

If you enable Face ID or Touch ID (iOS) / Fingerprint (Android) sign-in, your biometric data never leaves your phone. We only receive a yes/no "you authenticated successfully" signal from your operating system.

Why: faster sign-in without us ever seeing your face or fingerprint.

What we do NOT collect

Who we share data with

We share only with companies that help us run the app, and only what they need to do their job:

How long we keep data

Your rights

You can:

  1. See what we have about you. Email dealers@nationaltruckparts.com and we'll send a copy within 30 days.
  2. Correct anything wrong. Edit your profile in the app, or email us.
  3. Delete your account. Open the app → Account → Delete Account. We remove your personal info within 30 days. Order history is anonymized but retained for tax compliance (we have no way around the IRS rule).

  5. Turn off analytics. Open the app → Account → Privacy → "Help improve the app" → toggle off. We stop sending usage events to PostHog immediately.

Children

The NTP Dealer App is for B2B truck parts dealers — not for use by children under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

No system is unbreakable, but we follow industry best practices and review our security posture quarterly.

California, Virginia, and EU users

If you live in California (CCPA), Virginia (VCDPA), or the EU (GDPR), you have additional rights — including the right to opt out of any "sale" of personal data (we don't sell, but the right still exists), portability, and lodging a complaint with your local data protection authority. Email us and we'll comply with your request within the timeline the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we'll notify you in two ways:

  1. In-app banner the next time you open the app
  2. Email to the address on file
